The current Stanton Center exhibition, “Racing to Del Monte & Pebble Beach,” takes a turn into the art world and Al powered genealogical and historical research in a special program by exhibition co-curators, Greg Berkin and John Sanders, and Terry Trotter, owner of Trotter Museum & Gallery in Pacific Grove.
Together, the trio will examine a unique period in Monterey’s colorful history – from catastrophe to creativity – from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire to the establishment of the Del Monte Art Gallery in 1907 during the automotive revolution of the Brass Age. The program features new paintings from the Del Monte art gallery and a curators’ tour of the racing exhibition.
