Monterey History & Art Association has been selected to participate in the Monterey County Gives! 2025 program. All funds raised will go towards replacing the Monterey History & Art Museum at Stanton Center’s HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) system.

The HVAC system is beyond repair and has to be replaced. This complex system ensures a healthy and comfortable environment for our visitors, and helps us preserve the art and history that have shaped Monterey County.

You don’t see the HVAC, but it is critical and expensive to replace ($257,000!).

What you do see at the Monterey History & Art Museum at Stanton Center is an amazing collection of our local history and art, including Armin Hansen and Jo Mora, and special exhibits like “Steinbeck in Monterey.” If you haven’t visited us recently, we hope you will stop by soon to enjoy what is new.
