DESCRIPTION:An educational exhibition of wabi-sabi inspired artwork by Adam Gota\, Peter Hiller and others. \n\n\n\n\n\n“Wabi-Sabi” is a traditional Japanese aesthetic and philosophical worldview centered on finding beauty in imperfection\, impermanence\, and simplicity. \n\n\n\nIn this exhibit\, artists Adam Gota and Peter Hiller share their individual perspectives of wabi-sabi through their work and that of other artists\, including Minor White and Leon Moburg. \n\n\n\nArtist Talk\n\n\n\nJoin artists Adam Gota and Peter Hiller for a free artists’ talk on Saturday\, August 29\, 3pm-4pm. \n\n\n\nAbout Adam Gota\n\n\n\nAdam Gota is a contemporary mixed media artist whose work identifies with his own family’s history\, the Japanese American diaspora\, and today’s social and political climate. \n\n\n\nBorn and raised on the central coast\, he’s had the privilege to work with local nonprofits and schools to bring community-building art and murals to the region. His art has graced the walls of many local businesses\, galleries\, and public walls. \n\n\n\nAbout Peter Hiller\n\n\n\nPeter Hiller has lived his life as an artist and teacher\, expressing his creativity through his own art and sharing that experience with his students for almost forty years.
