May is Historic Preservation Month. On Sunday May 10 from 1-3PM, Monterey State Historic Park and Monterey History and Art Association are teaming up to provide two historic preservation lectures in the Stanton Center Theater.

MSHPA President Mimi Sheridan will provide an overview of the park’s buildings with some stories about the donors and preservation challenges over the years. One recurring theme is of collaboration between State Parks, MHAA and the City of Monterey.
